Chaining ISA 2004 to upstream proxy

I have a problem with random authentication popup boxes (exactly like isa
2000 had before the fix) when internal clients try to access the internet.

Is there a fix for ISA 2004 - surely this shouldn't be a problem now, or
is it the way I have setup the chaining?

Please help!!
