I know this is now an old topic but I still haven't solved it. I do have
some more information though if it's of any help to anyone who might be
able to give me some assistance. When ISA is functioning "normally" I have
4 warnings in the Application Log in Event Viewer (one for each published
server). Here's one of the messages:-

"Web Proxy service failed to bind its socket to 212.219.51.23 port 80.
This could be caused by another service that is already using the same
port or by a network interface card that is not functional. The error code
specified in the Data area of the event properties indicates the cause of
the failure. For more information about this event, see ISA Server Help."

Here's the interesting bit - when I connect an external VPN Client,
resulting in the 403 Forbidden error (and requiring a reboot of ISA), I
get the following in the Application Log :-

"The Web Proxy Service identified that the address 212.219.51.23 was added
to the interface table and start listening on port 80."

I have no hair left and my desk is broke because I've thumped it so many
times. Please someone help! Apologies if you don't know the full problem
but a search of the forums for "403 forbidden" should give you the full
story.

Thanks in advance.
