Hello Walkers:
Tuesday Walks:
Tuesday 20th June 2006: Assembling at Sutton DART station at 7:30 p.m. for a
walk around Howth. Please ensure you get a Howth DART service as the
Malahide service doesn't serve Sutton station.
Tuesday 27th June 2006: assemble outside Heuston station at 7:30 p.m. You
can get off at the bus or tram stop and someone will meet you. This walk
will include the Memorial Park and Islandbridge as well as the Phoenix Park.
Tuesday 4th July 2006: assemble at the terminus of the No. 10 bus in UCD for
a walk around the campus.
Saturday 17th June: Walk from Maynooth to Ashtown; meet on the north-bound
platforms in Pearse Station at 11:10 a.m., Tara Street at 11:15 a.m. or
Connolly 11:20 a.m. Please note the time change for this walk, originally
set for the 11:00 a.m. train to Sligo. As this Sligo service goes direct to
Maynooth it didn't suit some walkers getting on at intervening stations
between Dublin andMaynooth. Please note
that this is quite a long walk (approx. 12 miles) so if you don't want to do
the entire walk you can get on a train at any of the intervening stations
back to Ashtown to meet the walkers in the Halfway House for refreshments
afterwards. It would be advisable to bring a snack and water as we hope to
have
a lunch stop during the walk.
Saturday/Sunday 15/16th July - annual Maganey walking weekend.
