Dear colleagues,

The following topics will be discussed during the INVITROM symposium “Biology
meets Technology: Organ-on-a-Chip & Biosensors”, March 25, 2015, Breda, The
Netherlands:

· Organs-on-chips: concept technology and application (keynote lecture)
- Andries van der Meer (University of Twente / Wyss Institute, Harvard
University)

· Organ-on-a-chip platform for high-throughput drug screening - Paul
Vulto (Managing director MIMETAS BV)

· Think small for big changes: how nanoelectronics revolutionizes life
sciences - Liesbet Lagae (Imec Life Science Technology / KU Leuven
nanobiophysics)

· Recent trends in biosensor development (keynote lecture) - Jeroen
Lammertijn (KU Leuven, Department of Biosystems, MeBioS-Biosensor group)

· Molecular biosensing for medical applications - Menno Prins
(Eindhoven University of Technology, Molecular Biosensing for Medical
Diagnostics)

· Detection of DNA point mutations by hybridization: principles and
diagnostics case studies - Jef Hooyberghs (Vito Mol, Applied Bio & molecular
Systems)

· Multifunctional biosensors: from lab to fab - Heidi Ottevaere (Vrije
Universiteit Brussel, Brussels Photonics Team, B-PHOT)

In addition, we will have pitch elevator presentations on posters, as part of
the poster session which will serve as a platform for young researchers, as
