Same here.
This comes primarily from students. Most of them will
switch to PM mode, but, what they fail to realize is
that other folks are still following the discussion in
the mailing list.
I never encourage people sending me PM, unless its
really off-topic.
But this
whole exchange
happens off the list, is not archived, and thus
valuable infomation is
lost forever.
