A more recent effort. IBM essentially added some bells and whistles to 
the open source Geronimo project. Haven't tried this one.

If you have a lot of $$$, u can choose IBM WebSpehre (Advanced
Server), BEA WebLogic, Oracle Application Server and so on....

Unless you have really sophisticated needs like supporting thousands of 
users, load balancing and need professional support, don't go there. 
However, there are some really nice open source java app servers apart 
from Tomcat like Caucho Resin, JOnAS. You can't go wrong with Tomcat, 
but you can take a look at these options too.
