Softlinks can be made by using the command ln -sv <File name> <Destination>
!.The size of the soft link is equal to the text size(each character is of
size 1 Byte) of the PATH of the original file.
!!. The permission of the softlink are lrwxrwxrwx,where 'l' indicates soft
link.
!!!.Only root can make a link in / partition.The owner and the group of the
soft link is root.Still the original file can be modified by its owner or
groupmembers.
!/\ Color of the softlink can be changed from DIR_COLORS directory. In
SuseLinux it is in /etc and is common to all users.
