the acer travelmate i bought some weeks back (and on which i' typing this)
had a rh 7.3 install on a 4 gb partition.
The rest of it was unpartitioned - the dealer basically said "this is so
that you can format it, get rid of linux and install any random copy of XP
you have handy"
WiLan - you have drivers for centrino for example (ipw2200.sf.net), also
for atheros, broadcom and other common laptop wifi chipsets, on linux
