[question on how to share mail between linux/windows]
There are actually two sub problems:
#1 Choose a mail client that has both Windows and Linux ports
#2 Find a way to share your mail folders between the two OSes.
it might be argued that switching to imap instead of pop would be a more
elegant solution. the above solution provides the sharing on the client
side. switching to imap on the server shifts the sharing to the server
side. then, any imap mail client can be used. mail folders can be readily
shared, but addresbooks takes some work (and may not be possible depending
on the mail client...).
