Hi,
I am looking for some comments/suggestions on the compatibility and the
seamless
working of trading websites with Firefox on Linux. My experience with a
couple of them
have been very bad.
From my experience I have seen that any trading website which claim to offer
real time data
of stock quotes(stock tickers) require Microsoft VM and IE.
1) Bonanzaonline.com is one such website which has a horrible interface and
also
requires Microsoft VM and IE
2) Usectrade.com (offered by UTI securities) has 2 web based versions.
a) Basic - Works with Firefox without any problem. This one has no real
time
stock tickers. The UI is not great but far better than the previous
one.
b) Advanced - Offers real time data. It requires a java enabled
browser(IE/Firefox)
But also says the desired OS is windows. - I havent tried this so
I am just not sure
about its compatiblity with a java enabled firefox on linux.
3) Icicidirect.com- On date this is the best interface I have seen. Works
without any issues
on firefox. It doesnt offer real time stock tickers. Leaving alone the
brokerage concerns
I would say this is by far the best on terms of features and usability.
I want to know if there any sites which offer a clean usable
interface(probably with AJAX) so
thats its totally comaptible with firefox on linux.
Looking forward ...for replies
Rgds
