There are multiple ways to improve active participants. Scrapping
mailinglist guidelines is not one of the way (this is my openion).
Interleaved replay to a lengthy mail provides better understanding
about the context in the reply compared to replying on top of the
lengthy mail. I would have never learned Interleaved style without
someone insisted me to follow mailinglist guidelines when I was new to
ILUGC.
