Tsk, tsk... Word stores a *lot* of hidden metadata about your
document. If you enabled Versions or Track Changes, deleted text
can be recovered from the document, along with the time of edits.
If you use any form of collaboration, all the names of your
contributors are also shown in the document. Even enabling Fast
Saves creates hidden information.
I remember recently someone at Microsoft releasing a public
statement on their website in word format with all the hidden
text still present. Maybe they forgot to use this:
