There's a patch out for that already (try plugging that error into
google). Or go straight to 2.6.18 - already released.
I'll second the recommendation of 2.6.18 - it was a drop-in
replacement for my previous 2.6.16 and FC4 userland, and
everything just worked painlessly.
It also subjectively seems better for DVD playback - xine
seems to drop fewer frames, even on a PIII/500 notebook
running on batteries. Check it out.
On another note, I'm no longer going to upgrade to FC5
and all future Fedora releases - FC4 already meets all my
requirements for the foreseeable future. I may selectively
rebuild SRPMs and install RPMs from future Fedora releases,
but only on an as-needed basis.
