On the contrary, passing the RHCE is quite an indication that the
candidate does possess a reasonable amount of brains and
troubleshooting skills. These last two by themselves aren't enough to
pass the RHCE, though - it requires knowledge as well (of Unix,
networking etc.).
you can mug up and pass RHCE. There are institutes in Mumbai who will
give you a full set of likely scenarios and train you up to pass at a
cost of 4k. I have met several RHCE's who know zilch about
systemsadministration. I do agree that if a person trains himself for
RHCE and does the exam in the spirit in which it is designed, the
certificate is worth happening. But how do you find out how he did
it? I remember a lug list where and RHCE was enquirying in general
how to set up a mailserver ...
