You might have misunderstood a few things. Free software
doesn't mean free of cost. It is "Free" as in Freedom or Free speech.
No one stops you from making money with a free software. You can
expect people to pay money for the support that you offer for the
software.
But, the reason of my mail to this group was not to advertise the
technologies
that we work on. Which words in my mail conveyed that information to the
group?
I was merely asking what has the internship got to do with
free software. But after Bharathi's reply, I decided not to press on
further. But the other mails in the thread made me do so :(

my mail was bad ? I merely asked what the internship had got to do
with FOSS and mentioned that your site speaks of proprietary software.
