Hello,
You can have only one coutry setting in xawtv. Try 'zapping' which enables
you to tune channels which belong to different country settings. Also try out
'kwintv' which has option to tune channels manually.
xawtv works fine for me (Pinnacle TV Tuner)

use scantv command to scan all the channels. It is working fine here in
my place.
when u switch on xawtv if the system hangs, switch it on with -noxv
flag.

There isn't anything wrong with the driver, only the channel's dont show
up. Everything seems to be pointing to the xawtv configuration/tuning.
xawtv claims to be supporting PAL, NTSC & SECAM, doesn't mention much
about PAL-B which I believe is used here. Also there is no frequency chart
for India.
