All is well as long as the tftp server is not remote. :-)
Anyway I owe an apology to all since I said that tftp is used over serial
lines. That is utter nonsense. tftp is usable only over TCP/IP over UDP. So
tftp is mostly usably only using ethernet.
The reason for my confusion was that I used to download the firmware/image
using the serial line using ymodem/zmodem whenever the boot loader on the
device was hosed. The boot loader had the tftp client.
