[Ilugc] GNU/Linux Distribution Suggestion

Debian or Slackware.
OR i sujjest LinuxMint10
Most Linux distros are resource unfriendly.
Or I would say poor unfriendly.
Unfortunately linux which was meant to be resource
friendly as that was its raison d etre was diverted to
serve other interests by trying to be everything
for everybody.
At any rate I believe you are wrong.
Mint is resource hungry.
Like one of those Live distros.
Live distros serve a completely different purpose than
resource utilization on a low end machine.
The two should never be mixed and one cannot achieve both.
So Mint does a good job of out of box functionality on different hardware
configurations.
You can't get low end hardware use with this as the goal.
