Before installing a 64 bit OS make sure all the application you need
(eg. OO, java, flash, ...) are available as 64 bit ports otherwise you
have extra work to make them work.
There shouldn't be problem with the opensource drivers - mainly the
one already in the kernel tree, but you can expect some problems in
finding closed source drivers.
Next, is it possible to run a 32 bit OS on this 64 bit PC.
Ofcourse it is possible. it is even possible to run a 32 bit
application in a 64 bit OS.
Finally, recommend me between AMD 64 and Intel Dual Core.
If my understanding is right, Dual core should offer a better performance.
