you have a symonds account right? so you can do something like this -
$ ssh -2 -L2525:localhost:25 suraj@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
in a separate terminal
Then in pine at least, point your smtp server to localhost:2525
In mutt, configure exim to use localhost:2525 as the smtp server (google
for exim ssh tunnel and you'll find a howto with the appropriate config)
