I better give a suggestion that place the file in your website or some
location and give a link from chennailug.org site.
ok, I asked for two reasons..
1. People like me, do not have a web site or a globally accessible
personal space. We have to put it somewhere of our buddie's web site
which is an obligation and use of his *paid* space.
2. If we do so (i.e. put up in some website of ours and give the link),
for some reason the person changes his web site or removes the
content/material some time in future, we lose it there after and all our
pointers are to /dev/null.
Rather, Chennai LUG should have its own repos or collection of
documents/presentations. We do have a few (infact many) presentations
with us, but its with *us* and others have to ask us for it. If we had a
place to upload them all, within the chennailug.org space, it will be
there for ever.
Also, we can say "check chennailug.org/presentations/ for all the
presentations we have and you can freely download them and use". Using
our personal site is only an alternative option if we have no chance of
hosting our own repos/collection.
I just wanted to know whether we can have such a repos and make it
accessible in our website, similar to what shakthi has in his web site -
a list of presentations which we can download.
