I would like to add one more request/query to the admin if the
chennailug.org web site, in addition to my earlier queries on posting
event details and detailed reply from the admin for the same.
Today, we had a couple of speakers in the Monthly Meet and both had somesure
presentations which they said they will post it in the mailing list and
make it available in their website.
What I want to know is, is there any facility to have these
presentations or any related material of a talk, in our web site itself
and give the link for the same (i.e. to download) in the corresponding
announcement page for the talk ? Or else, we can have a separate section
for saving materials, categorized on different topics so any member can
download them and make use of them.
If there is any such facilities existing in the web site, I request the
admin to explain the same, as he did earlier regarding posing of events.
If not, is there any possibility of creating one ?
If we cant have it in existing CMS, can we have a svn repos kind of set
up with commit rights to a few active members who can help others in
posting the materials as well as maintaining them ?
