The only safe answer is to check with your MB manufacturer's website
and see if they offer an update.
There are plenty of bios hacking applications (for AMI, Award, etc)
using which you could patch/modify your own BIOS. You could pull
off the bootup code detection module from an update BIOS version
and apply it to your BIOS. Needless to say, you would be voiding
warranty and possibly breaking a number of EULAs in the process.
Check with the LinuxBios project and see if your motherboard/chipset
is supported.
Warning, warning: Attempting BIOS programing without an EEPROM
programmer is a sure way to brick your motherboard! If your BIOS
chip is soldered on the motherboard and is not removeable, then
the slightest error will render your board useless.
I think GRUB supports USB booting, so a floppy/CDROM with the
appropriate GRUB would also solve the problem nicely.
