virtual conference hosted by the American Water Resources Association, in
partnership with the Babbitt Center for Land and Water Policy, a center of the
Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.

will explore the intersection of land and water, and delve into strategies for
guiding communities toward sustainability. The conference is July 19-21, but it
includes pre and post conference workshops on the value of integrating
diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace July 18 and the state of
research and evaluation on land and water integration (Part I July 18 and Part
II July 22, included with registration).
More than 100 speakers will address topics including green infrastructure,
climate change, flood control, water quality, conservation, forest management,
water funds, data and governance, and more. They'll share experiences from
Hawaii to Maine, from the Gulf Coast to the headwaters of the Colorado River,
from the Gila River Indian Community and Navajo Nation in the southwest to the
Ojibwe tribes of the Great Lakes region.
Keynote speakers include Assistant U.S. Interior Secretary for Water and
Science Tanya Trujillo, and leading global urban sustainability expert Aziza
Akhmouch of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Assistant U.S. EPA Administrator for Water, Radhika Fox, has also been invited.
The conference will be held in partnership with the Walton Family Foundation,
the Greenway Foundation, the Water Research Foundation, the American Planning
Association, and the American Water Works Association, among many other
