I would either draw it on a reference layer with the line width you want
(maybe 10 or 20 mils, depending on the size of text desired), or enter it as
text on the reference layer with whatever "photoplot width" looks good.  Do
this on top of the positive plane where you want the text, then trace over
the reference layer text as a void in the positive plane.  A bit of work,
but I can't think of any other way to do it.
