I've never needed them in the same directory, but that may be the case if
you don't stick to the default of keeping the brd file in ./allegro/

Another problem i have had before was that if you do have intertool on, and
do a find on parts like caps where there are a bunch, it can bring capture
to a grinding halt because as it finds each one, it selects it in allegro.
For some reason, once it hits the 43rd (or 23rd or something like that)
part, it gets really slow.  At least this was the case in 14.x.
