Thanks for the info. I'll try the skill file. It looks like they are leaning towards
the Capture program, so I'll just need to make do temporarily until the
engineers are up to speed on it. Life is good.

No, the pin functions are not required by Allegro. And, you can easily
create the Device files inside the Allegro footprint editor (symbols
editor) if you load the SKILL file attached. Simply open the footprint you
need, type mkdev <carriage return> and it makes it. You'll simply need to
edit it per the Viewlogic netlist, but should not be a problem.

Cadence Capture (was Orcad) or Cadence Concept are direct interfaces to
Allegro now. Set up your library; do your schematic; create netlist;
whallah.  :)
