Gene

I've been doing File - export IDF... - select PTC in the file type filter,
check use filter and exclude vias etc. Outputs .emn and .emp files.
Seems to import into ProE okay.
The .emp is the symbol library file.

Best Regards

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] IDF in 15.1

I just output an IDF file from a board in 15.1 and I noticed that it
references the parts, but does not create a part model... where does the ME
get the model for the parts?

IDF 3.0 output the part name, and location, but little else.

Hopefully he does not have to build a model for each part. Other tools I
have used also spit out the models of the parts...

Anybody doing Allegro to Pro-E now?
