Hi Kumaran and Mike,
It is my understanding that the Allegro will only import gerber files that were
created by Allegro - that is what Cadence support has told me in the past and
reflects the experience of other folks I know who have tried to import gerbers
from other CAD packages.
Kumaran - I would recommend coverting the PADS artwork files to DXF files and
then import the dxf file into Allegro. I have done this before and it works
fine. If you don't have a gerber to dxf converter send me the gerber files and
I'll make the DXF files for you.
