Indeed. You will now be able to generate a PDF from *any* application
that prints.
Don't let the apparently contradictory uses of the words "print" and
"save" confuse you in the case of PDF.
In this situation, what happens behind the scenes is that the normal
Postscript printer driver directs its output to a temporary scrap
*file* (rather than to a hardware printing machine such as your
Laserjet). Then !PrintPDF (which is an application, not a printer)
converts this Postscript file to a PDF file.
... but the original's coloured text ... was replaced by black in pdf.
Is pdf monochrome?
Methinx you forgot to tick "Colour" on the PDF printer configuration.
Shift-click your new PDF printer on the iconbar to get at the setting.
I think "Colour" is the only item there that matters in this case;
choosing A4 paper is probably best.
Click OK.
Then menu-click any iconbar printer and do "Save choices", so that
your settings are remembered next time you reboot or load !Printers.
