I have a problem with set theory notation - and can't find a (RiscOS)
font which reproduces the 'open' R, C etc
In Archive articles about set theory (e.g. by Gerald Fitton) I use a
font called Mathscript for these "open" characters.
I'm told it originated from EFF (Electronic Font Foundry) and cost
10, but there's nothing in the internal files of the font to say so;
only clue is the 1991 filedate. Since Edward Detyna died, I dunno
what the situation now is with EFF fonts.
Various other fonts come with an Open variant, and these might well do
your set-theory job. For instance EFF Eric (aka Gill) comes with an
Open variant alongside Bold, Italic, Ultrabold etc. I don't think it
matters mathematically whether the open font is serif or sans-serif.
(Methinks there was a Goudy Open too, but I can't say for sure
till new version of Fontdir Pro arrives and I can get at my old files!
I had a collection of Open fonts there.)
