I must be getting confused with other apps then. Several do load
backup files (TextEase and StrongEd for example). I know TW
saves a backup if the document gets a serious problem. Not having
a corrupted file or backup file to hand I can't check out what
really happens and its a long time since I had any document
corruption even though I use it almost all day every day :-).
