Do you have any extra batteries you can experiment with and compare? If so,
could you let us know if you get the same result? I'm puzzled by this, as I've
had my unit for a year and always lived off a battery for a day traveling,
downloading 100 podcasts, etc.

I am running version 1.11 build 16.
It got upgraded after it was shipped back to me.
I suppose the software is still a little buggy.
