Hi, I sort of like the pauses in eloquence sometimes. I like it when it pauses once in a while, like a real person does while reading. in the Eloquence version in Jaws, it doesn't really pause that long while reading books and things. it usually just reads continually, only pausing for commas or periods. When a person reads a book, they usually have a pause before a new section in the book or a chapter. I'm quite happy with the Icon's eloquence. ----- Original Message ----- From: Beth Koenig To: valiant8086@xxxxxxxxxxx Cc: icon-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, September 21, 2008 9:17 AM Subject: [icon-discuss] Re: eloquence request Yes, the pauses in the speech synth is very noticeable and when switching from high speed podcast listening to reading text based books at high speeds does take me a minute to adjust to the pauses. With shorter pause length, about like jaws's version of eloquence does, it would be possible to take in information a little faster. I'd like to put this out as a request to be impliminted for the new version. Intel Sentrino® core2duo 1.66ghz, 2048mb DDR2SDRAM @ 667mhz, Toshiba 5,400 rpm HDD.
