Mine acts exactly the same way. I have tried to reflash with no success.

Larry ,
When I go to the menu option to add appointment and try to select it,
nothing happens. Even pressing the number 1 will only give me a beep. Also,
on a day that the appointment happens, the status menu does not announce
anything nor does it announce when I go to that day in the planner.
Actually I just tried again to make sure. When I try to add an appointment
on a day that does not have an appointment, Option 4 Jump to a Day is the
only thing that appears. On a day that the appointment is set, I get the
other menu options but selecting them won't work.
I am going to do as Michael suggested and reflash and work my way back up to
the latest version.
Thanks
Danny

Danny, what happens when you attempt to add an appointment?

Michael ,
In your list of updates you have 'corrections to Planner and Journal'. In
Build 21, the Planner is not working correctly. I still can't add
appointments and the appointments are not announced when I go to that date.
So as you say, the latest beta version is going to be the final released
version, does that mean the Planner will not work correctly still?
Sorry to be a pain about the Planner, but I get a lot of use out of it.
Thanks
Danny Norris

The update has not been released yet. We wanted to give everyone a
chance to read through this message first. It will be released this
afternoon.

One of the biggest changes in the new version is virtual memory. This
will allow users to open multiple applications and leave them running.
What this means to you is that we will require some disk space. We
will need 500 megabytes of space, so before you download this new
version please clean up your hard drive and make this space available.
Once your system has updated it will ask to perform some system
maintenance. If you answer yes it will check your drive for errors and
then re-partition the drive. You can answer no, but if the
re-partition is not done virtual memory can not be turned on.

Now, here is the list of changes. A new manual will soon be posted to
reflect these changes and the help file has been updated.
