[icon-discuss] Recording music

Hello Listers,
I was wondering, I have recorded a number of albums in MP3 format, this is the
only format supported by the Icon right, not WMA? Also, what bit rate is best
for the Icon? Right now I have mine set to record at 256Kbps, I was reading
last night that the bit rate does not matter much unless you are using a high
end (not that this is not a high end) device, but would a smaller bit rate work
on the Icon?
I sent my friend (who's sighted and not using an Icon) one of my albums in MP3
format to put in her Zen Stone, all her albums are recorded in WMA format and
mine was of course MP3 at 265Kbps, and she said she could not hear a
difference. I only ask as I had a friend help me set up my Windows Media to
record music for my Icon and apparently this is what he was told, maybe he read
it here. But what have you all found is best?
