  Yes you can do this with the Braille Plus, and no, it does not matter if your 
computer is using a router or a direct connection.  I believe you could even 
use a dial-up connection if that's all you had.  Basically, you're just 
bridging Icon's internet connection with your computer's.

      You can use your computer's internet port to access the internet through 
      USB.  This can be done on the handheld using the interface cable that 
comes 
      with the unit.
