The braille lite does not have an sd card slot. It has a compact flash (cf) slot on millenniums.

Hi,

Yes, the Braille Lite has an S d card. It's located along the
rear edge
of the uneat near the LPT port. It's used for backing up your
data.

Hi,

What you say is true, but I said what I did because many people
speak
of the
BNS when they really
mean the Braille Lite system. I like to cover as many bases as I
can.

Hello, Ted,

Transferring from the Braille 'n speak to the Braille Plus is at
least a
two-step process.
I see no direct way to do this; a computer is essential. The
only
hardware
output
on the Braille 'n Speak is a serial port. The Braille Plus does
not
have
one. I have
heard that there is a serial to USB converter. If so, that might
allow
for a
direct
transfer, assuming that the Braille plus can recognize the BNS as
a
storage
device.

If you have the Disk Accessory for the BNS, move your data to a
floppy
and
use that
to transfer your data to a computer, and then use the computer to
send
the
data back 6 your Braille
Plus.

If your computer does not have an internal hard drive and it is
essential to
make the
transfer, then you can buy a USB floppy drive.

If you have a later BNS which uses SAID cards, you can use the
card to
transfer data to your
computer and back to the Braille plus. I have not tried this,
but
perhaps
the card reader would be
recognized by the The BRAILLE Plus.

I hope this will help you or someone on this list. I suggest,
however,
that
if you need further
help that you write me off list.

Hi to the list,
I'm an old Braille 'n Speak guy with a new Braille Plus. I'm
looking
for
some hints on transferring my bns stuff to the Braille Plus.
I've
found by
renaming the files with a .brf extension, that seems to help, and
by
adding
a line feed character seems to help as well. Any suggestions
appreciated.
