A request from a harried editor: if submitting a revision to an existing BIRD, *please* use the posted version as your starting point and turn change tracking "on". Several of the recent BIRDs submitted apparently used internal copies or source materials unrelated to the posted version that was supposed to be "revised". This generates a lot of background effort to ensure the change history is preserved from version to version, and the additional editing required increases the likelihood of errors creeping into the text. Thanks in advance. - MM
