All,

I managed to review IBIS 7.0 sections 7 through 9 on the return flight from the summits. Like the previous document, this is uploaded but not yet indexed:

This one has only 18 comments. Again, I reviewed the latest document I had on hand, but it's more than a week old and some items might already have been addressed. For sections 10 through 12 I will use yet another version.

All,

I used a long flight to Tokyo to begin a linear review of our IBIS 7.0 draft last Saturday. At the time the most recent document was from Nov 7, and the review is based on that. It is uploaded to the IBIS Editorial document area, but is not in the index page yet. It can be accessed here:

Only about 1/3 of the document has been reviewed, with 147 comments added. One way to see them quickly in MSWord is to:

 1. Go to the Review menu.
 2. In the ribbon set the Markup popup to Simple Markup or No Markup.
 3. Set the Reviewing Pane popup to Reviewing Pane Vertical.
 4. In the Show Markup popup disable everything but Comments.
 5. Now the entire list of comments appears on the left. You might
want to close the Navigation pane to make it less crowded.

Some of these are outright typo/format corrections, others are style/clarity questions like whether some words really should be ALL CAPS. I think it would be fair to assign an editor to make some of the edits, ignoring any comments that require group judgement (most of those have a question mark), and of course double-checking my suggested edits.

The edits must of course be made in the latest draft. By now, some of my suggested edits might already be done.

I will continue my review on the return flight, but it will be based on whatever is the latest available draft in about 24 hours. So far that is the Nov 14 draft, but Nov 16 might be available in time. Going forward I plan to limit myself to typo/format edits, in an attempt to finish by the time I return. But I would be eager to have any feedback on that.
