[ian-reeds-games] critical AI bug - enemies using skills on units that have already died

Hi All

 

I'm not sure why I never noticed this before, but I've seen several
instances that I've been able to repeat of the AI using skills on units that
have already died. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

 

the evil soldier uses shotgun at 4 10

arilon the good human archwizard loses 125 health

arilon the good human archwizard has been defeated

the evil soldier moves from 4 7 to 4 8

the evil soldier uses attack on arilon the good human archwizard

arilon the good human archwizard has been defeated

 

in another instance

the evil unit uses open on  the evil door

the evil door regains 1 door health

the evil door has been defeated

after this, it started buffing other units and then did this

The evil unit uses buffing skill on  the evil door

[enemy names changed to avoid spoilers]

 

I suspect that the AI does not calculate what it should do after it has
received confirmation about the result of every action but instead,
calculates what it wants to do and then does it regardless of the result of
its actions.
