Yeah, I know what you mean. When I updated my pack...well, it took me
ages to get everything reformatted because updating didn't actually do
it like it was supposed to.

But maybe I should just replace it with what you did and pretend I did
nothing to it...

Also it would save me the trouble of going through and putting all the flags
on separate lines and moving the skill flags up to the top and stuff. The
parser versions for some of the files didn't change and I had started doing
them manually, which is a real pain. I don't know why this wasn't fixed when
I did the upgrade thing. :(

I didn't touch the grammar -- although it does bother me -- just the
parser version and whatnot.
I didn't post it anywhere, I have it on my laptop.

You did? Where!

I thought I'd tidy up the grammar as well, since Sapi isn't the best
tts
thing to begin with and it really struggles with messy grammar. (Don't
mind
me, I'm just a writer who notices stuff like that.)

If you're talking about Kingdom at War...I think I already updated it.

I've had a conversation with him on skype about his dropping off the
face of
the battleverse, and yeah, all the rewriting the map packs was what
drove
him off. I did tell him he should come back though.

In the map pack menu, with the map pack to upgrade highlighted,
press control U.

Okay, I'll do that. :)

One more related thing, though. I know there's a trick to
change
the map pack's parser version in one go, but I forget how
that's
done. I thought it was a trick in the TB menu but I can't
remember what it is. I can't find it in the user guide or
the
map creation guides or anything. :(

I'm
not really sure what's going on with Austin. Maybe a
year ago or so was making two or three really
amazing
map packs. He never finished them though. I think at
the
time a lot of updating was going on with tactical
battles which would've caused him to practically
rewrite
the map pack a couple of times. I suspect he just
got
frustrated, but for all I know he is right now
training
cybernetic squirrels to steal the moon, grin.

I
would suggest sending him an email and see what
happens.
If he doesn't respond... Then I would just say go
for
it.

I
may be wrong but I think Kingdom at war was the
first
map pack to be laid out in the story format.

Hi,

Among other packs, I downloaded the "Kingdom At
War"
series when I first got TB. Apart from the
frustrating
grammar, the pack seems pretty good, but it's old.
Parser Version 2 old. What happened to the creator?
I
suppose I could send him an email but I'd feel a
bit
invasive doing that. I just think that pack should
be
updated to comply with the current parser version
and
maybe have the grammar tidied up a bit and it'd be
good to go. New content would also be kinda cool
but
as the guy's probably no longer on the scene, I
can
hardly expect that.

I was just curious.

On a slightly related note, does anyone else hate
the
default map music as much as I do at this point?
It
doesn't suit every situation and the Kingdom At
War
maps don't have their own music. I'm doing my best
to
give each of mine their own, even if some tracks
are
re-used. I like appropriate music for each map.
