And then patenting it, to boot!
The "Object Bench" is something in BlueJ's predecessor that I used about 10
years ago while learning Java.
And now Microsoft is claiming that it "invented" that bench.
Since the USTPO  now longer checks prior art, they leave it up to the
courts to determine who owns the "IP".  So, the side with the biggest
pockets wins.  How convenient for Microsoft, since they've lobbied long and
hard ($$$$) for the USTPO to adopt these "no check" rules.  Remember,  some
90% of all patents are protested, but less than 10% are revoked after a
protest.
