garage. He noticed the band and reported it. I banded that male Ruby-throated

encounter is 1700 miles almost due north.
One of the objectives of Hummingbird Research has been to find out where
wintering Ruby-throated hummers in the Southeast breed. After banding over
1,000 Ruby-throated hummers in the past 20 winters, this one is the first to be
found on a possible breeding location.
