None of which will prevent him from collecting a sympathy settlement.

"the gun his father was cleaning discharged." oh really?

Obviously there was a round in the chamber so he wasn't properly cleaning
it. Hand was in front of the muzzle, odd way to seat a magazine.
Other hand presumably on the trigger.
Muzzle obviously was not pointed in a safe direction, failure of firearms
handling 101.

Dad is claiming he was seating a mag when the gun discharged - yet he
put a round THROUGH his own hand before killing his son.

How can one POSSIBLY be seating a mag while having one's hand in front
of the muzzle? Inquiring minds want to know..................

Taurus Sued Over Mistaken Shooting Death of Boy
<http://www.al.com/news/anniston-gadsden/index.ssf/2015/11/gaylesvilles_
childs_shooting_d.html> [image: spacer image] Gun manufacturer Taurus
International is facing a lawsuit
over the shooting death of a child from Gaylesville, Pennsylvania. The
11-year-old boy was shot and killed on February 15 when the gun his
father was cleaning discharged. *The shot traveled through the father's
hand* and also hit the boy's mother in the elbow. Both parents were
taken to the hospital for treatment and the boy was declared dead at the
scene. The lawsuit alleges that Taurus knew about design flaws in the
weapons and continued to market the guns. William Thornton, AL.com
