the setup we use for Carnival is somewhat different (much simpler!) than ours so this wouldn't be as straightforward (not to mention it was a complete PITA to do anyway). Realistically how often does your Internet fail (that isn't fixed by you turning it back off and on again, which is easy given it'll be staffed 24/7)? And if it isn't, it's not going to be fixed sufficiently rapidly as to make the 3/4G solution completely non-viable in terms of the amount of data it'll eat. Personally I'd leave it and only if we start having problems, devote the time for that sort of thing.

I may put something in place at the receiving end to deal with any short drop outs - and where there is potential for no-one to kick it immediately.
