Fldigi and all its library dependencies should compile and run on the N800 and its OMAP2420 ARM processor. All the libraries apart from FLTK are optional, but you would miss some useful features without, say, PortAudio. I believe someone has already built a version of FLTK on Maemo and run the test programs. The N800's 800x480(?) resolution will be sufficient if you run fldigi with --profile minimal. RAM will probably be enough too. There is one other caveat. Fldigi does a ton of floating point operations and, apparently, additional compiler flags are needed to get reasonable FP performance on the N800: http://lists.maemo.org/pipermail//maemo-developers/2007-January/thread.html#7617 If you decide to go ahead with this, I should be able to help with the fldigi, and possibly the cross compilation, side of things. Good luck and keep us posted! 73, Stelios, M0GLD. ______________________________________________________________________________ Highland Lakes Linux User Group (HLLUG): http://www.hllug.org HLLUG mailing list: //www.freelists.org/list/hllug
