It depends on the extent of the renovation.  If it is simply adding a
non-load bearing wall, then that's a private thing.  If the project
involves making new plumbing connections, moving existing plumbing,
altering existing load-bearing walls, or changing something on the
exterior, then that would require Board approval.  Most likely, building
permits would also be required, as well as an architectural drawing.
