The postman is at the mailboxes now putting mail in them. She said that nobody
has told them not to deliver.

Today, Clara is supposed to be meeting with USPS onsite to assess the
mailboxes and get recommendations. If that goes according to plan, then the
Board will discuss the next steps tomorrow, and then we will have a better
idea of the timeline. Steps involved would include ordering new mailboxes
and scheduling them for installation. Updates will be sent once known.
Thanks,

That is my belief. You're certainly welcome to visit the Piedmont post
office and see if you can pick up your mail there. If you're successful,
then report back and let everyone know.
Over the years, I have had to go to the Pryor St. post office to sign for
certified letters and packages requiring a signature, which is why I wanted
to draw attention to that location. I find it very inconvenient, but I
usually only have to go once every 3-4 years.
Thanks,
Alex

Quick and maybe silly question: so our mail is being held at the Pryor

Thanks!

Hi Shelley,
I don't think there is a need to change your mail settings. Mail is not
being delivered and it is available for in person pickup at the post
office. If you want your USPS packages held, then you might want to hold
your mail delivery.
There are some callbox codes that vendors use. Clara will audit the use of
those codes to make sure that they are not being abused. Real estate
agents can sometimes be set up in the callbox to buzz themselves or other
agents into the community. At this time, I don't think there is a need to
make a change there. Access codes are tied to units, and when a unit
sells, Clara removes the previous access.
Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the helpful info.
I can also help look out for packages if you need an extra set of
hands/eyes.
Can anyone please point me to how to redirect my mail so I pick it up at
Pryor street? Or is our mail already being held there? I understand the
"hold mail" option at usps.com is not the correct one because that's more
for if you're out of town. And every time you pick your mail up, the mail
hold will be lifted.
And other than the pedestrian gate codes do we need to change the main gate
codes that non-residents have access to like the realtors code etc?
Thanks much,
Shelley

Hi everyone,
I wanted to mention four quick things:
1. We will be changing the pedestrian gate code. Look for an email from
CMA with the new code. It might not be until next week that the gate code
is changed, but I'm hoping that Clara can make it happen quickly.
2. Mail delivery is currently halted, since our mailboxes have been
damaged. We are looking at the damage and will most likely replace the
mailboxes. As soon as more information is known, it will be shared.
3. Packages are still being delivered to everyone's front door. Make sure
to quickly take your packages inside, since packages left outside last
night were opened. If you are out of town and are expecting a package,
please email me directly, and I'll be glad to watch out for it and hold
onto it until you are back. I'll do this for the next two weeks or until
reports of package tampering subside, whichever is later.
4. In the event that you need to pick up your mail, our official post
office is located at 400 Pryor St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. It's located
just southwest of the I-20/I-7585 interchange. Our closest post office is
across the street from Publix on Piedmont, but I don't think it handles
mail delivery for our location.
Thanks,
Alex
