Hi, Keith here in Amherst, NYNot much later in the day, not much new anyway. The E-Skip I was expecting only yielded one weak signal from TN.
Heard between 1730Z and 1900Z on 19 April: 10.1260 WA4SZE - "N" 10.1292 W0ERE 28.1195 KP3FT - PropNet CW ID 28.2000 LU4AA - Weak, 429 and only 1 power level 28.2098 WA4SZE - "N", got both bands 28.2255 W2DLL - ID Cycle varies, 1 - 2 minutes between 28.2790 WA6MHZ 28.2900 N6UN No XE's and no other 6's, odd conditions Heard between 2310Z and 0000Z on 19/20April: 10.1260 WA4SZE - "N", only 539 now 10.1292 W0ERE - Duking it out with the RTTY QRM 28.1710 XE1FAS 28.1960 LU4JJ 28.1970 LU5FB 28.1990 LU1FHH - Chirping alongNo W2DLL, No LU4AA on 200. With Spectran or Argo I can see the chirp on LU1FHH, the dots & dashes on the display are tilted, there's 100 hz shift on the dashes and 50 - 100 hz on the dots. I see the same thing on the leading character on WA6MHZ also. A very useful tool!
As of t hie time I am typing this (1230Z/20 April) both 10 & 15 are quiet, I don't have any signals on either except the local 10 Meter repeater. However, Spectran is showing 6 - 8 dB of solar noise. There's a sizable sunspot that's been producing numerous "C"-class flares according to Speceweather.com. It looks like it's continuing to do so today.
More to follow when I log something... 73, Keith, WB2VUO Amherst, NY: Grid FN02ox ____________________ The HFbeacons mailing list information: //www.freelists.org/webpage/hfbeacons
